We will be running our next open Making Learning by Design workshop in Cape Town on 12, 13 and 14 November 2007. This is an interactive and challenging workshop to help you improve the quality of learning in your organization by: · Changing instruction manuals, technical content and training material into learning material · Developing trainers and instructors as facilitators of learning · Changing passive dependent people into active, responsible learners seeking out information · Ensuring managers are effective coaches and facilitators of others’ learning · This workshop is suitable for subject matter experts and dedicated trainers who need to design and/or deliver learning material. |

Workshop objectives |

After attending the workshop, participants will be able to: · Apply the power of shifting from training and coaching, to learning · Analyse learning needs in a job / task or piece of content · Design effective learning material and learning events – with particular emphasis on material designed to help people develop understanding (using methods such as the “keys to understanding”, problem-solving, comparison with a model, insight through deduction, and experience) · Use methods to help learners develop learning skills at the same time as learning the product/content.
