We will be running our next open Making Learning by Design workshop in Cape Town on 13, 14 & 15 August 2008. This is an interactive and challenging workshop to help you improve the quality of learning in your organization by: · Changing instruction manuals, technical content and training material into learning material · Developing trainers and instructors as facilitators of learning · Changing passive dependent people into active, responsible learners seeking out information · Ensuring managers are effective coaches and facilitators of others’ learning |

Workshop objectives: |

After attending the workshop, participants will be able to: · Apply the power of shifting from training and coaching, to learning · Analyse learning needs in a job / task or piece of content · Design effective learning material and learning events – with particular emphasis on material designed to help people develop understanding (using methods such as the “keys to understanding”, problem-solving, comparison with a model, insight through deduction, and experience) · Use methods to help learners develop learning skills at the same time as learning the product/content.
